DirectBuy of West Riverside County was named the 2007 Service Contest Winners
Every year service teams in each DirectBuy showroom are challenged to create a truly unique experience for their members, making them loyal advocates of DirectBuy. This year’s theme was “Building the Ultimate Member Experience.”
So how did we win this coveted award? Our efforts took the top spot in the contest’s criteria categories of creativity, originality, benefits to members, execution, content, participation by staff, and member response.
Captured by video, our winning entry was called “Thirty Days Hath September,” which highlighted vendors, DirectBuy services, community outreach programs, and member appreciation events. We dedicated each day of the month to a different cause that involved not only our members, but also our surrounding community.
A few of our accomplishments:- Collected 200 pounds of canned food for the homeless
- Held a blood drive that helped 72 needy recipients
- Hosted a wine tasting event that raised money for the American Cancer Foundation
- Donated tile for five homes to Habitat for Humanity
- Providing massages to members on stress relief day
- Taking complimentary family portraits for members on picture day
- Providing free hot dogs and hamburgers every Wednesday of the month
- Conducted complimentary cooking lessons in their virtual kitchen
- Created a fun atmosphere with educational activities for members’ children each day
We feel that building the ultimate member experience is at the heart of what we do everyday.
